The annual trip to Braxmere was held in perfect fishing weather
on the first weekend of November. This year we had a record number of highly skilled anglers and some just danglers. There were 15 Lions members and 13 extras including 6 staff members from the ' power chucking' Manawatu Vet Club. These guys including one female staff member should receive a special award for making it to the morning fish after a strenuous session the night before.

Best Friday night fish went to Peter Hills
Best Lions fish went to Dennis Humphrey
Best Sunday fish went to Bruce MacMillan
Best overall fish went to Ross Barnett

The competition between Worb's 'undone flies' and Johnny 'Trout Whisperer' Henaghan for the best fish, went to Johnny, resulting in Worboys Transport supplying Sunday lunch for The Trout Whisperer.

The Wooden Spoon was no contest with Dave Belcher so keen to get fishing; he couldn't wait to get the trailer down to the water and dropped the boat off halfway down the ramp!
